In this new feature, Exdrawp 2.0 explores parallels between the photographic and painting processes of Bruce S. Dunbar and Bart O'Reilly, respectively. Both artists' works grow out of the interactions of materials like light and weather in natural settings. Each artist works within systems that allow them to give up control of outcomes to see what happens. Chance material interactions and environmental influences bring about surprising similar formal results between the artist's distinct media. Works become a record of the interactions that occurred in a particular time and place in nature.
